A Mini Rescue's Santa to the rescue fundraiser day | Hosted by Black Lab Coffee
Updated: Nov 2, 2018
Have you ever wondered how rescue’s pay for the sometimes overwhelming cost of the vet bills from health checks, vaccinations and de-sexing for pets? Well the answer is that these costs rarely get covered by the adoption costs and sometimes we need to hold fundraiser days and take donations so that we can continue our life saving work of rescuing animals In need.
These pets often come from rural pounds; we are shown who is on death row, how much transport will cost to get them to a foster home and how long they have left. Every single day there are more and more to save, it is hard to watch, if we don’t have the space, if our vet bills our thousands in debt, if we could not possibly do any more, we still find a way, even though it sometimes breaks us.
We don’t often do this, but we really need the help! We have saved so many animals and taken so much on board that we really need to raise some funds to cover the cost. So we are holding a fundraiser day at Black Lab Coffee in Tarragindi, where every single coffee you buy $1 will be donated to our cause.
We will also have many generous sponsors donating to our raffle; some of the amazing prizes include a fully set up romantic picnic with amazing views from Social Picnic Co. (A brand new business who creates magical picnic set ups around SEQ) www.socialpicnicco.com
A pet photography session for your beloved fur baby from Butterfly Down Under Photography. www.facebook.com/Butterfly.Glamour.Photography
Cat & Dog Hampers, Gift Cards, assorted electronics and much more. Tickets will be $2 for 1 and $5 for 3. These are truly amazing local business that is passionate about animals and we could not thank them enough for their generosity.
On the day will we have some of our adoptable dogs saying hello, a Hydrobath, baked goods for sale and beautiful kokedama plants on sale from kokedama Karen. www.facebook.com/kokedamakaren
The profits from these items will be going towards A mini Rescue, who on the day will be operating under the umbrella of Stop Dog Meat, a registered charity. You really could not get a better cause, if you have a Sunday morning coffee anyway, why not pop down and drink for a cause.
We also need to sincerely thank Locale Espresso for donating the coffee beans on the day. www.localeespresso.com.au
And of course none of this would be going ahead without the boss’s permission from Black Lab Coffee, a wonderful coffee shop who supports local rescue groups (did we mention they make amazingly delicious coffee?). www.blacklabcofee.com.au
We would really love to see you there.
